Job summary

Boulder Valley School District is seeking a Coach-Robotics for Summit Middle Charter to run after-school robotics sessions and build VEX V5 robots. You will supervise practices, teach CAD concepts, and help students prepare for competitions from October through May.

This is an after-school, extra-duty role with a total contract amount of $4,000. Experience with VEX V5 hardware and software is preferred; strong organization, clear communication with parents, and the ability to manage logistics

Qualifications

• Experience with VEX V5 hardware and software.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to students.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Strong communication with parents.

Responsibilities

• Work with a classroom of ~30 enthusiastic students.
• Prepare students for robotics competitions by developing strategy and driver skills.
• Manage robotics program logistics including schedules and equipment inventory.
• Assist head coach with tournament and travel logistics.
• Foster a collaborative learning environment and peer coaching.
