Job summary

Hadrian is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Autonomous Factory Systems team. You will lead a robotics-focused engineering group that builds perception, planning, behaviors, and control, while coordinating with hardware, controls, product, and operations to align priorities and staffing.

You will hire, mentor, and grow engineers, shape the technical roadmap, and ensure a healthy, productive team culture in a fast-moving environment focused on delivering autonomous manufacturing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering management experience leading robotics, autonomy, or other complex technical teams.
• A genuine passion for people management and engineers' growth.
• Proven track record of hiring and building strong technical teams, including hard-to-fill roles.
• Technical fluency in robotics concepts to inform tradeoffs with leads.
• Strong judgment on organizational design, headcount, and allocation.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration with partners and leadership.
• MS in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the people leadership of engineers: hiring, onboarding, mentorship, career growth, and performance.
• Build a hiring engine for robotics talent and recruit a top-tier team across perception, planning, behaviors, and control.
• Ensure engineers are engaged, growing, and productive; monitor team health and address issues early.
• Provide input into technical direction and headcount decisions in collaboration with engineers and leads.
• Partner with Hardware, Controls, Product, and Operations to translate priorities into a roadmap and staffing plan.
• Continuously improve engineering practices and lifecycle: planning, design reviews, testing, deployment, and on-call.
