Job summary

GE Vernova’s Gas Power unit seeks an Experienced Automation & Robotics Technician in Bangor, ME. You will install, diagnose, and optimize robotic systems, PLCs, HMIs, and related equipment across production cells, driving reliability and safety.

You will analyze faults, perform root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions while collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams to improve process stability.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certification in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 4+ years in manufacturing, automation, robotics, or advanced maintenance.
• Experience troubleshooting integrated industrial equipment beyond routine replacement.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support PLC logic, robot programs, CNC interfaces, servo systems, VFDs, and HMIs.
• Perform diagnostics, device verification, and network troubleshooting across control panels.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Support system integration, upgrades, and startup/commissioning activities.
• Mentor maintenance technicians on fault recovery and basic troubleshooting.
• Document fixes, changes, and lessons learned for repeatability.
