Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a skilled Automation and Controls Technician in Bangor to install, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic systems and automated equipment in a high‑reliability manufacturing environment.

You will diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, and control issues, lead downtime investigations, and implement durable corrective actions across PLC, HMI, servo, and networked systems. A technical degree and hands-on experience are required.

Qualifications

Associate degree, technical diploma, or certification in Mechatronics/Robotics/Industrial Automation or related field.
4+ years in manufacturing/automation/robotics/maintenance environment.
Experience troubleshooting integrated industrial equipment beyond routine replacement.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic systems and automated equipment used in production.
Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues across electrical, mechanical, controls, and process interfaces.
Lead technical troubleshooting during downtime events with root-cause analysis.
