Job summary

Novae is seeking a seasoned Robotics Engineering Manager to lead a team of programmers and technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will drive automation strategy, oversee design, deployment, and validation of robotic systems, and ensure ERP integration for seamless production flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or equivalent automation experience.
• 5+ years robotics programming and automation in manufacturing; 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Experience with Fanuc Roboguide and Lincoln WeldPro strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of PLCs, ladder logic, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and 2D/3D vision systems.
• Proficiency in CAD design; Inventor experience preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP and product configuration platforms.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coach Robotics Programmers and Robotic Process Technicians to align with production priorities.
• Identify and prioritize automation opportunities across weld, blast, and paint operations.
• Design, program, install, validate, and document robotic systems from concept to production.
• Ensure integration with ERP and product configuration systems.
• Lead root-cause analysis and preventive maintenance programs for automation systems.
• Develop training programs for operators on automated systems.
• Stay current with automation innovations and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage risk and ensure safety compliance on all robotic projects.
