Job summary

Novae is seeking a Robotics Programming Manager to lead the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of automated systems across our manufacturing operations. You will bridge engineering and production, guiding a team of Robotics Programmers and Robotic Process Technicians to deliver value.

You will evaluate automation opportunities, oversee programming, validation, and documentation, ensure ERP integration, and mentor staff while advancing the factory's automation strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in automation/robotics for manufacturing.
• 5+ years in robotics programming and automation; 2+ years in supervision.
• Expertise in welding, blasting, and/or painting robotics; Fanuc Roboguide & WeldPro preferred.
• Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, hydraulics and pneumatics; 2D/3D vision systems helpful.
• CAD design capability; Inventor experience is a plus.
• Familiar with ERP systems and product configuration; integrate automation with enterprise systems.
• Proven ability to lead a technical team in manufacturing; strong communication.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Robotics Programmers and Robotic Process Technicians; set performance expectations.
• Identify and prioritize automation opportunities across weld, blast, and paint operations.
• Design, program, install, validate, and document robotic systems from concept to production.
• Ensure integration with ERP and product configuration systems; maintain current docs.
• Lead root cause analysis and prevent recurrence; manage maintenance programs for automation.
• Develop training for technicians on safe operation and troubleshooting of automated systems.
