Job summary

NOVARES in the United States seeks an Automation Engineer to design, support, optimize, and improve automated manufacturing systems in a fast-paced production environment. This role develops and maintains PLC, robotics, vision, and motion control systems while leading automation projects that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
5+ years designing, programming, and supporting industrial automation in manufacturing.
Strong PLC programming with Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk.
Experience with industrial robotics (Fanuc, ABB, Wittmann, or similar).
Experience with HMI, SCADA, motion control, and vision inspection systems; knowledge of Ethernet/IP.
Ability to read and develop electrical schematics and control layouts.
Project management and capital project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, program, and support automated systems (PLC/HMI/robotics/vision).
Lead automation projects from concept to startup and validation.
Develop and modify PLC/robot/HMI programs to boost performance.
Troubleshoot complex automation issues to minimize downtime.
Support new equipment installations and capital projects.
Analyze production processes to identify automation opportunities.
Create and maintain engineering docs like control narratives and drawings.
Monitor performance data to drive continuous improvement.
