Job summary

FORVIA, a global automotive technology leader, seeks a Robotic Welding Engineer to drive productivity, quality, and cost-improvement across the Toledo facility. You will support existing operations and new product launches, coordinating equipment improvements and leading continuous improvement efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (or 10 years as a process technician) and strong PLC/robotic control skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent is preferred or 10 years as a process technician.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment improvements to meet manufacturing, maintainability and HSE requirements for robots.
• Plan development aspects of customer and facility related projects.
• Improve downtime, TRS, and safety through engineered solutions.
• Develop standards for equipment repair, spare parts, setup, and operations.
• Support production teams in continuous improvement activities.
• Lead projects targeting cost reductions, safety, ergonomics, change-over, standardization, productivity and quality.
