Job summary

Venteon in Michigan near Belleville seeks a Welding Engineer for a permanent, full-time role supporting robotic welding systems and manufacturing maintenance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in engineering and several years of hands-on welding experience, with knowledge of MIG welding, robotics, PPAP, and FMEA. You will lead start-ups, support launches, and optimize weld processes for quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years welding engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong electrical maintenance troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with robotic welding and material handling.
• Knowledge of MIG welding processes.
• Familiarity with PPAP, FMEA, and control plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform, recommend, and develop preventative maintenance procedures for welding equipment and robotics.
• Evaluate processes to maintain or improve weld parameters and efficiency.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders to diagnose problems and repair parts.
• Lead new job starts, PPAP runs, and spare parts inventory setup.
• Support new model launches and engineering changes.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance in work areas.
