Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Assembler II in South Chesterfield, VA to program, operate, and troubleshoot automated and robotic machinery for producing sheet metal refrigerated cases. You will be part of an assembly team, reading orders, identifying parts, and using appropriate tools to build units to specification.

Responsibilities include reading work orders, measuring with rulers and tape measures, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs on a recurring basis.
• Work is performed in a production environment with temperature variations, noise, dust and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an “A” order.
• Identify parts and their placement on the product line.
• Identify and use power and hand tools.
• Read and comprehend the work order.
• Assemble components using hand or power tools.
• Measure using rulers, tape measures and levels as required.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, clips, rivets or fasteners.
• Work at different stations as production needs require.
• Participate in team assembly to complete units.
