Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Assembler II at our South Chesterfield, VA location. You will operate and troubleshoot automated or robotic machinery for the production of sheet metal refrigerated cases, performing a range of assembly tasks across multiple stations.

Responsibilities include reading orders, identifying parts and tools, using measuring devices, and ensuring components are fastened properly. Prior experience in manufacturing is preferred and physical duties include lifting up to 50

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift and move as part of production duties.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an "A" order.
• Identify parts and their placement on the product line.
• Identify power and hand tools used on the line.
• Read and comprehend the work order.
• Assemble components using hand or power tools.
• Identify parts and part descriptions from work orders.
• Use material gauging and dimensioning information.
• Read rulers, tape measures and other measuring tools.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Work at different stations as production needs require.
• Contribute to team assembly to complete units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
