Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking an Assembler I to join our South Chesterfield, VA production team. The role focuses on programming, operating, and basic troubleshooting for automated and robotic machinery used in producing sheet metal refrigerated cases.

The position is on the First Shift (6am - 2:30pm) with duties including reading orders, identifying parts and tools, assembling components, and performing basic maintenance.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED is required or preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks standing, bending, lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an “A” order.
• Identify parts used on the product line.
• Identify power and hand tools used on the line.
• Read and comprehend the work order.
• Perform assembly-type tasks with hand or power tools.
• Identify parts and descriptions from the work order.
• Use gauging and dimensional information.
• Read rulers, tapes, squares, measuring tools.
• Fasten parts with bolts, screws, rivets, etc.
• Work at different stations as production needs require.
• Collaborate with assembly team to complete units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
