Job summary

Boston Dynamics in Savannah, GA seeks an Applications/Integration Engineer to drive Atlas integration into automotive manufacturing. You will manage the Atlas fleet onsite, develop data collection playbooks, and shape how Atlas learns to perform sequencing and assembly tasks.

You will collaborate with hardware, software, and data teams, design OLT/FAT tests, and ensure high uptime while expanding deployment at partner facilities. Travel domestically is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of professional experience in field application engineering, systems engineering, or robotics operations.
• Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu), JIRA, and data-driven monitoring tools like Tableau.
• Proficiency in Python and C++, or scripting for automation.
• Excellent communication to translate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Data collection strategy and curriculum design for Atlas tasks.
• Design data collection tasks and playbooks aligned with automotive goals.
• Develop OLT and FAT criteria for behavior policies.
• Coach pilots and collaborate with annotation and behavior teams.
• Perform deep-dive technical triage of robot hardware/software issues.
• Analyze logs, telemetry, and real-time code to identify subsystems.
• Coordinate with onsite HW support and Atlas teams for production deployments.
• Own daily experiment queue to maximize robot utilization.
• Track performance metrics and report in established systems.
• Develop playbooks for integrating Atlas into new facilities.
• Oversee site-level network infrastructure for robust connectivity.
• Facilitate pilots in facilities after passing OLT.
