Aerotek is seeking a Welding Robot Operator for the 2nd shift in Delaware, OH. The role operates, sets up, and maintains automated welding equipment, combining robotic programming with MIG and TIG welding to support high-volume production.

Qualifications

• Three years of robot operation experience, with welding experience preferred.
• Reading WPS and engineering drawings is required.
• Proficient MIG and TIG welding in production environments.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and ensure weld quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic welders to produce welded metal components safely and consistently.
• Set up fixtures, tooling, and programs to meet production needs.
• Program robotic welders per WPS and drawings for precise welds.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding to support production, rework, or projects.
• Read and interpret WPS and drawings to meet requirements.
• Monitor weld quality and adjust programs or setups accordingly.
• Troubleshoot issues in robotic welding cells (equipment, programming, process).
• Maintain organized and precise work practices for repeatable results.
• Collaborate with team to improve processes and support continuous improvement.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on welding equipment.
• Support fabrication activities related to pressure vessels and other assemblies.
