Job summary

QuikCut, LLC is seeking a skilled OTC Welding Robot Operator for our Fort Wayne main campus. You will operate and monitor robotic welding systems, load/unload parts, perform basic programming adjustments, and ensure weld quality meets our standards.

Safety and efficiency are core to keeping automated welding processes running smoothly. You will read blueprints and weld symbols, troubleshoot simple issues, and perform routine maintenance to support continuous production.

Qualifications

• Experience operating robotic welding equipment or manufacturing robots.
• Experience with OTC Daihen, FANUC, ABB, or Yaskawa is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
• Basic understanding of welding processes and metal fabrication.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor an OTC robotic welding system in a manufacturing environment.
• Load and unload parts into welding fixtures, ensuring proper positioning and alignment.
• Verify fixtures, components, and materials are correctly positioned before beginning the welding cycle.
• Monitor automated welding operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and production requirements.
• Troubleshoot basic robot, fixture, and welding issues.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, consistency, appearance, and proper placement using inspection tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and basic maintenance of robotic welding equipment and fixtures.
