Job summary

Atlantic Track & Turnout Co. is seeking a Robot Welder Operator I to join our Richmond, Illinois team on second shift. The role involves reading instructions and blueprints, setting up and operating robotic MIG welds, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The position requires AWS welding certification, at least 1 year of welding experience, and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. Training on first shift will occur prior to starting the second shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED, etc.).
• At least 1 year of industrial welding experience.
• AWS Weld Certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• On-site Richmond, IL.
• Ability to work second shift (Mon-Thu 3:00pm–1:30am).

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets work instructions, blueprints, and reference documents.
• Obtains and maintains AWS welding certification.
• Operates robot welding station and MIG welding.
• Moves material between inventory locations and welding station.
• Pulls parts/material from stock if required.
• Alerts supervisors or engineers when issues arise.
• Performs daily preventive maintenance checks.
• Finds and edits welding programs as needed and suggests process improvements.
