Job summary

E weld technician role in Plymouth, MI on the 2nd shift. Full-time technical position focused on supporting a team and maintaining a zero-downtime goal within a manufacturing environment.

You will set up robotic and resistance weld operations, assist operators, and leverage knowledge of robot programming and welding maintenance (Fanuc, Panasonic) to optimize processes. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and collaboration with maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 3–5 years as a weld technician in manufacturing.
• Certifications: 2-year certificate in robot welding tech or related program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support in developing and improving welding processes.
• Set up robotic and resistance weld operations, and poke-yoke apparatus.
• Provide general weld support to operators.
• Knowledge of robot programming and welding maintenance (Fanuc, Panasonic).
• Controls knowledge (Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, SLC 500/5000 and HMI).
• Support analysis and resolution of weld equipment failures.
