Job summary

Vander-Bend is a U.S.-based manufacturer and a new division of Vantedge Medical. We seek a Robotic Welding Engineer to act as the SME for automated welding, delivering top quality, productivity, and safety across operations.

You will drive process development for NPIs, lead continuous improvement, support DFM reviews, and collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and PM. This role does not supervise production staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience with robotic MIG welding and sheet metal fabrication is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, commission, and optimize robotic welding systems.
• Establish robust welding parameters for quality and throughput.
• Lead startup activities, process validation, and production release.
• Troubleshoot welding, robotics, and automation issues.
• Develop standardized robotic welding practices across lines.
• Lead manufacturing engineering support for new products.
