Standard Iron & Metal Co. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer focused on robotic welding programming and weld process development. You will support continuous improvement across sheet metal fabrication, emphasizing quality, productivity, and innovation.

The role requires hands-on expertise with industrial robotic welding and CAD/CAM tools, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive NPI and cost-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires 3-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience with welding applications.
• Experience programming industrial robotic welding systems (FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa/Motoman, or KUKA).
• Strong knowledge of MIG welding processes and weld parameter development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and optimize robotic welding applications.
• Perform teach pendant and offline programming for robotic welding.
• Develop and optimize weld parameters to maximize quality and productivity.
• Program and optimize CNC equipment using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, nesting software.
• Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
