Job summary

Witzenmann USA in Detroit, MI, seeks a Degreed Welding Engineer to oversee all welding operations on the shop floor, including robotic and manual processes, and to drive APQP-based product launches.

You will troubleshoot production equipment, develop weld quality controls, mentor staff, and collaborate with Project Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, suppliers, and customers to ensure on-time production.

Qualifications

• Degreed Welding Engineer with experience in GMAW (Mig) (robotic and manual), GTAW (Tig), Laser and Plasma welding.
• 3+ years robotic welding engineering experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience welding stainless steel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all welding operations within the manufacturing facility, including robotic and manual welding.
• Troubleshoot production equipment and recommend corrective actions.
• Drive process improvements in welding areas and develop weld quality controls.
• Collaborate with Project Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, suppliers, and customers to launch products into production using APQP.
