Job summary

JCB North America in Savannah, Georgia, seeks a skilled Robot Programmer to develop, maintain and optimize robotic welding programmes using FANUC, IGM and KUKA systems. The role supports production, new-product introductions and continuous improvement across Fabrication.

The position requires 3+ years programming robots in manufacturing, practical welding-system knowledge, and the ability to read engineering drawings. You will train staff and collaborate to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience programming and troubleshooting industrial robots in manufacturing.
• Experience with robotic welding systems, preferably FANUC/IGM/KUKA.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify and optimize robotic welding programmes across FANUC, IGM and KUKA systems.
• Provide programming and technical support for robotic welding equipment in Fabrication.
• Troubleshoot robot faults and production issues to minimize downtime.
• Create and improve weld paths, sequences and robot movements.
• Support commissioning and production launches of new welding cells.
• Train personnel in programme recovery, fault finding and adjustments.
• Maintain backups and technical documentation; ensure process consistency.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Maintenance and Quality.
• Assist with engineering changes and product introductions.
