Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong MIG/MAG welding knowledge for heavy fabrication.
• Experience programming robotics on major platforms (Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa).
• Familiarity with WPS, weld symbols, drawings, and QA documentation.
• Ability to analyze downtime, defects, and implement improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and optimize robotic MIG/MAG welding processes for heavy fabrication.
• Troubleshoot robot weld issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Maintain welding systems to meet specs and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Support weld technicians with guidance and training.
• Collaborate with maintenance for uptime and part availability.
• Review changes and support new product launches.
• Track downtime and weld quality data to drive improvements.
• Assist audits with welding process documentation.
