Job summary

RK Industries is seeking a Robotic Welding Programmer to program, configure, and optimize welding robots for high-quality output. You will troubleshoot, set up cells for new launches, and collaborate with engineering to improve manufacturability.

The role requires 3–5 years of wiring programming experience in manufacturing, with MIG and/or TIG welding expertise and knowledge of robot platforms and offline programming tools. Safety and continuous improvement are emphasized.

Qualifications

3–5 years robotic welding programming in manufacturing.
Experience with MIG (GMAW) and/or TIG (GTAW) welding processes.
Experience programming one or more robotic platforms.
Knowledge of robotic welding power sources.
Ability to interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and GD&T.

Responsibilities

Program and optimize robotic welding systems for products.
Create, modify, and troubleshoot robot programs with teach pendants/offline software.
Develop weld paths, torch angles, travel speeds, and welding parameters.
Set up welding cells for new launches and engineering changes.
Troubleshoot robot programming, welding quality, and equipment issues.
Optimize cycle times while ensuring safety and quality.
Perform robot backups, software updates, and documentation.
Collaborate with engineering to design fixtures and improve manufacturability.
Support preventive maintenance and calibration activities.
Analyze weld quality and implement corrective actions.
