Mindscope seeks a skilled Robotic Weld Cell Specialist for Duluth, MN. You will program robotic weld cells (YRC1000) and perform offline CAD/CAM simulations to bridge blueprints to production.

The role emphasizes hands-on programming on 2nd or 3rd shift with strong ownership in a safety-conscious environment. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in robotic welding, MIG expertise, and the ability to pass internal weld/readiness assessments.

Qualifications

• Robotic welding depth: 3+ years of programming and path optimization in heavy structural steel.
• Hands-on with Yaskawa / YRC1000 pendant programming and offline CAD/CAM tools.
• Deep understanding of multi-pass MIG welding, wire feed dynamics, and welding symbols.
• Ability to pass internal welding, blueprint reading, and quality assessments.
• US Citizenship or Green Card within commuting distance of Duluth, MN / Superior, WI.

Responsibilities

• Program, edit, and verify heavy weldments using YRC1000 and offline simulators.
• Optimize weld paths, torch angles, speeds, and weave for repeatable welds.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and torch alignment issues in cells.
• Perform preventative diagnostics and minor repairs to maximize uptime.
• Inspect welds against drawings, symbols, and GD&T, ensuring conformance.
• Mentor operators on cell operation, fixture loading, and error recovery.
