Job summary

Big 3 Precision Products Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Robotic Weld Programming on 2nd shift to develop, program, and optimize robotic welding cells and fixtures.

You will work hands-on on the shop floor, mentoring the design team and supporting project management with best-in-class welding solutions and documented work processes. Experience with major robot platforms (Fanuc/ABB/Yaskawa/KUKA), offline programming, and CAD tooling is highly preferred for driving rapid cell

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or Robotics/Automation.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on robotic weld programming experience preferred.
  • Experience programming major robotic platforms (Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa/Motoman, KUKA, or similar); offline programming tools strongly preferred.
  • Experience designing weld fixtures in a 3D CAD environment (SolidWorks, NX, CATIA or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot robot faults, weld defects, TCP drift, and fixture interference on the weld cell.
  • Coach operators, welders, and maintenance staff on cell operation and fault recovery.
  • Lead commissioning, run-off, and buy-off of new robotic weld cells and first-article production.
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle time, scrap, rework and changeover time.
  • Design fixture concepts and provide detailed Work Sheets for manufacturing.
