Job summary

Capital Medical Group (CMG) seeks a fellowship-trained Total Joint Replacement Orthopaedic Surgeon to join the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.

The role includes a concurrent GW SMHS faculty appointment and a base salary plus wRVU productivity with an academic stipend, teaching residents and medical students at an academic Level I Trauma Center.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school with completed orthopaedic residency and fellowship in Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Arthroplasty.
  • ABOS board certification or eligibility with Hand CAQ or equivalent pathway.
  • DC medical license active or eligible and hospital privileges at GW Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Perform primary total hip and knee arthroplasty, including robotic/navigation-assisted techniques.
  • Perform revision arthroplasty and manage periprosthetic infections/complex reconstructions.
  • Supervise residents and medical students in clinic and operating room.
  • Contribute to bundled-payment and value-based care initiatives and perioperative pathways.
  • Provide inpatient consults for periprosthetic fracture and reconstruction-related trauma.
