Job summary

Capital Medical Group (CMG) seeks a fellowship-trained Shoulder & Elbow Surgeon to join The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.

This full-time role offers a concurrent faculty appointment at GW SMHS, and a compensation model that includes base salary, wRVU-based productivity bonuses, and an academic stipend, with opportunities to teach residents and medical students at an established Level I Trauma Center.

Qualifications

• D.O. or M.D. from an accredited medical school with completed Orthopedic Surgery residency and fellowship in Shoulder & Elbow Surgery.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible by ABOS.
• Active or eligible DC medical license.
• Eligible for faculty appointment at GW SMHS and privileges at GW Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat shoulder and elbow pathology, including rotator cuff, labral pathology and arthritis.
• Perform arthroscopic and open shoulder procedures including arthroplasty.
• Manage elbow trauma and reconstructive procedures.
• Supervise residents and medical students in clinic and OR.
• Collaborate with care teams and document in the EHR.
