Formlabs is seeking a Robotic Systems Integration Engineer in Boston to unite firmware and hardware, driving integration toward robust prototypes. You’ll collaborate with design and system teams to document interfaces and ensure subsystems meet requirements.

The role requires experience with electro‑mechanical systems, motion control and scripting (Python preferred; LabVIEW/MATLAB). Equity and STEM‑friendly benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Experience designing complex electro‑mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of motion control, sensors and control algorithms.
• Experience managing system and subsystem requirements.
• Well versed in hardware debugging and curious about why things work.
• Scripting experience with Python preferred; LabVIEW, MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Unite firmware and hardware of subsystems into one system and ensure prototypes work.
• Collaborate with system architect to describe systems inputs/outputs.
• Define interfaces between sub-systems and design electro‑mechanical subsystems.
• Manage subsystem/system level requirements and track changes.
• Design and execute test plans; analyze results.
• Resolve systems issues and propose corrective actions.
