Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a Senior Robotic Systems Integration Engineer to unite firmware and hardware across subsystems, drive integration, and ensure performance meets requirements. You will work with system architects to describe interfaces and own subsystem-level requirements while developing tests and analyzing results.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of electro-mechanical design experience, knowledge of motion control and sensors, and hands-on hardware debugging.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of motion control, sensors and control algorithms.
• Experience managing system and subsystem requirements.
• Hardware debugging experience.
• Familiarity with embedded firmware (C++ preferred).
• Experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with consumer electronics.

Responsibilities

• Bring together firmware and hardware of subsystems into one system.
• Partner with system architect to document system interfaces.
• Define and refine sub-system interfaces and electro-mechanical subsystems.
• Take ownership of subsystem/system level requirements and changes.
• Design and execute test plans; analyze results.
• Resolve system issues and advise on fixes.
