Job summary

RN Scrub and Circulate at the Outpatient Surgery Center of Trinity Health Ann Arbor, a Level 1 Trauma Center with 9 operating rooms and about 40 cases per day. Shifts include days and afternoons. We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required; new hires must have a BSN within five years or commit to obtaining one. Michigan RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• BSN within five years or agreement to obtain BSN within five years of hire.
• Current Michigan Nursing License and BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age-specific needs.
• Strong critical thinking and attention to detail for patient care.

Responsibilities

• View patients holistically with physical, psychosocial, emotional, age-specific and cultural considerations.
• Demonstrate assessment skills for identified patient populations.
• Analyze patient information, respond appropriately and develop individualized plans.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans using evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient/family education.
• Use teach-back methods to ensure understanding by patient and family.
• Communicate status and care goals clearly during rounds and handoffs.
• Maintain a positive, supportive environment and collaborative teamwork.
