Job summary

InDepth Engineering Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Robotics Engineer to program, integrate, commission, and optimize MIG welding processes using FANUC and NACHI robots for automotive BIW bodyshop applications. You will drive process stability, precision, and repeatability across two-site assignments in Ohio and Illinois.

The role requires 5+ years of welding automation experience, strong English communication, and deep knowledge of welding parameters, safety systems, and TCP

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation, Welding, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years programming/integration of FANUC and NACHI robots with MIG welding in automotive BIW/Bodyshop.
• Languages: Proficiency in English to interface with suppliers and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Path Generation & Optimization: Program and refine MIG welding trajectories on NACHI robots for optimal angles and stick-out.
• Weld Process Optimization: Tune welding schedules to minimize porosity, lack of fusion, undercut, and burn-through.
• TCP Maintenance: Implement automatic TCP checks to ensure precise weld placement after consumable changes.
• Backup & Version Control: Maintain clean version history and backups of robot controllers.
