Job summary

Machina Labs in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Cell Technician / Operator to operate manufacturing equipment in our robotic environment, load and position panels, follow work instructions, and maintain safety and quality. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable around automated equipment, able to work with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams.

Shift 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; overtime may be required; $23-$28/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, assembly, or industrial production preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using common hand tools.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, work orders, routers, and basic manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to safely handle and position aluminum and steel panels and components.
• Comfortable working around automated machinery and robotic manufacturing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and product quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Reliable attendance and ability to support production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and associated production equipment safely.
• Load, unload, position, align, and secure panels and components.
• Verify material, tooling, fixtures, and setup before production.
• Follow approved work instructions and procedures.
• Monitor equipment and identify alarms, defects, or process issues.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately; maintain traceability.
• Conduct in-process inspections and address nonconforming material or process conditions.
• Use hand tools, torque tools, fixtures, clamps and other production equipment safely.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Support 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement focused on safety, quality, productivity, and material flow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
