Job summary

Machina Labs is seeking a Manufacturing Cell Technician / Operator to support our robotic manufacturing environment in Chatsworth, CA. The role involves operating equipment, loading and positioning panels, and maintaining high safety and quality standards on a fast-paced production line.

The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of working with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, assembly, or industrial production preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using common hand tools.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and documentation.
• Ability to safely handle aluminum and steel panels and components.
• Comfortable around automated machinery and robotics equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate machinery and production equipment.
• Load/unload, position, align, and secure panels and components.
• Verify material, tooling, fixtures, and orientation before production.
• Follow work instructions, drawings, routers, travelers, and SOPs.
• Monitor equipment and identify alarms or process issues.
• Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Complete production and quality documentation with traceability.
• Conduct in-process inspections and escalate nonconforming material.
• Use hand and torque tools safely and correctly.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams.
• Support 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
