Job summary

Machina Labs in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Cell Technician/Operator to support production in a robotic manufacturing environment. This hands-on role operates equipment, loads and positions material, and follows documented processes to maintain safety, quality, and delivery.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable around automated equipment, with a willingness to collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and follow manufacturing instructions.
• Experience using common hand tools and basic machining knowledge preferred.
• Ability to safely handle aluminum and steel panels and components.
• Comfort around automated machinery and robotic manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate machinery and associated production equipment.
• Load, unload, position, align, and secure panels and components.
• Verify material, tooling, fixtures, setup, and orientation before production.
• Follow work instructions, drawings, routers, travelers, and SOPs.
• Monitor equipment for alarms or defects and troubleshoot within training.
• Complete production and quality documentation with traceability.
• Support 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement initiatives.
