Job summary

The University of Chicago Medicine is seeking Clinical Associates for a full-time, renewable term of up to three years in the Robotic Cardiac Surgery program. Appointees will primarily operate with the lead robotic surgeon and cardiac team to deliver expert patient care.

These roles include independent on-call duties for the Section and possible support of offsite community practices. Teaching or scholarly activity is not required, and compensation is based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must have medical doctorate (MD or equivalent).
• Hold or be eligible for medical licensure in Illinois and Indiana.
• Board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate with the lead robotic surgeon and cardiac team.
• Take independent call for the Section.
• Support offsite community practices as needed.
• Contribute to patient care; no teaching or scholarly activity required.
