Job summary

University of Miami Health System seeks an accomplished cardiac surgeon for the role of Associate Professor and Director of Robotic Cardiac Surgery. Lead the development and growth of a comprehensive robotic program at UHealth Tower.

Responsibilities include clinical leadership, protocol development, and collaboration across cardiology, anesthesia, and surgery, with emphasis on education, research, and regional growth.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board-certified thoracic surgery credentials.
• ACGME-accredited training in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
• Eligible for Associate Professor appointment and Florida medical license.
• Minimum 5 years post-fellowship clinical experience.
• Experience leading robotic cardiac surgery programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the robotic cardiac surgery program at UHealth Tower.
• Develop clinical protocols, quality metrics, and care pathways.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care.
• Teach and mentor students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in clinical research and scholarly activities.
