Job summary

truckingpeople is hiring RoboTaxi Test Drivers / Autonomous Vehicle Safety Operators in Miami, FL to support testing and operation of next‑gen self‑driving vehicles. This role blends professional driving, vehicle testing, data collection, safety monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.

You will help engineers improve autonomous driving systems by collecting real-world data and documenting vehicle performance, with opportunities to learn AI and robotics in a hands‑on environment.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record is required.
• Strong defensive driving skills.
• Excellent situational awareness.
• Ability to remain focused for extended periods.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, MVR review, and driving assessment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor autonomous vehicles in real-world traffic conditions.
• Drive 4–8 hours per day while maintaining constant situational awareness.
• Take vehicle control when necessary to ensure safe operation.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and readiness checks.
• Perform basic software operation and troubleshooting tasks.
• Collect driving data and document vehicle performance.
• Provide detailed written and verbal feedback to engineering teams.
• Support vehicle testing, logistics, and fleet operations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and operational readiness.
• Assist with documentation, reporting, and testing procedures.
