truckingpeople is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Test Driver – Safety Operator in Miami, FL to test and operate self-driving ride-hailing vehicles on local roads. This on-site role requires hands-on work with next-generation autonomous driving technology.

Autonomous Vehicle Test Driver – Safety Operator (Self-Driving Cars)

Location: Miami, FL (Local Applicants Only)

Pay: $27/hour + shift bonuses

Schedule: Full-time | Rolling Contract

Shifts

Day Shift: 7:45am-4:15pm

• Thursday-Monday
• Wednesday-Sunday
• Friday-Tuesday
• Saturday-Wednesday

Night Shift: 3:45pm-12:15am

• Thursday-Monday
• Wednesday-Sunday
• Friday-Tuesday
• Tuesday-Saturday

About the Role

Join the future of transportation as an Autonomous Vehicle Operator (Safety Driver) in Miami, FL. You’ll help test and operate self-driving ride-hailing vehicles, ensuring safe, reliable performance on real roads. This is an on-site position for local Miami-area applicants who want to work hands-on with next-generation autonomous driving technology.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate and monitor autonomous vehicles in real-world environments.

Training Provided (Paid)

• Paid training in Las Vegas, NV (flights and hotel covered).
• After training, daily operations resume in Miami, FL.

Pay & Schedule

• $27/hour + up to 7% shift bonus for nights/weekends.
• Day Shifts: 6:45 AM-3:15 PM or 7:45 AM-4:15 PM.
• Night Shift: 3:45 PM-12:15 AM.
• Rotating 5-day schedules:
  • Thursday-Monday
  • Wednesday-Sunday
  • Friday-Tuesday
  • Tuesday-Saturday

Requirements

• Must live in Miami, FL and hold a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Clean driving record — no DUIs or criminal history.
• Ability to stay focused and alert for long driving sessions (up to 8 hours/day).
• Strong communication andtech troubleshooting skills.

What you need to qualify

• 3 years of Professional driving experience (rideshare, delivery, or commercial).
• Regular Driver's licence with no gaps
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or computer systems.

Hiring Process

• Receive and email and take a Typing test (minimum 45 WPM)
• MVR check
• On-site driving test (DMV-similar with cones, parking, and city navigation).
