Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Valley, Nebraska is seeking an Auto Robot Welding Lead to supervise robotic welding operations, run and edit programs, and coach a welding team in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will partner with the Production Supervisor, ensure safety, quality, and on-time production, and drive continuous improvement while reporting to the Production Supervisor. The shift is Monday–Thursday, 5:30 am to 4:00 pm, with compensation starting at $30+ per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 11+ years relevant experience.
• Ability to pass forklift and crane operator tests.
• Currently Welder C status or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret complex prints and safety manuals.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics and measurements.
• Willingness to learn all welding shop jobs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform robotic welding.
• Run and edit robotic programs.
• Inspect welds to verify conformance to specifications.
• Assist in running lines from set-ups, changeovers, and lead work.
• Support engineering with training and special projects.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Coach and develop associates for better performance.
• Produce hourly production records for line performance.
• Participate in RCA to prevent future breakdowns.
• Promote continuous improvement across the team.
