Job summary

Dexory is seeking a proactive robotics troubleshooter to diagnose and resolve robot issues, triage from L1, and directly interact with robots and ROS topics. You will document fixes and build repeatable playbooks to prevent recurrence, while mentoring L1 and Deployment teams to reduce escalations.

Eligible candidates should have a technical degree in engineering/robotics/CS or equivalent hands-on experience, with Linux CLI proficiency and a structured problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

  • Linux and command-line confidence; willingness to learn ROS quickly.
  • Structured troubleshooting: form a hypothesis, test, discard, repeat.
  • Clear written communication is essential for playbooks and handovers.
  • Robotics exposure welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Take robot issues from L1 and monitoring; triage, diagnose and resolve.
  • Work directly on robots: read logs, inspect ROS topics and services, interact with CAN, check/configure, disable sensors when safe, restart services; request version rollback from V&V when a release is implicated.
  • Investigate connectivity problems, mapping/annotation issues, tower faults, and mission/deployment failures.
  • Escalate to L3 or Engineering with a clean, evidenced handover: what you saw, what you tried, what you ruled out.
  • Write and maintain a playbook for every repeat issue you resolve; keep knowledge base current.

Job description

Purpose.

Be the person who actually fixes the robot, and writes down how.

Responsibilities

  • Take robot issues from L1 and monitoring; triage, diagnose and resolve.

  • Work directly on robots: read logs, inspect ROS topics and services, interact with CAN, check and change configuration, disable sensors where safe, restart services; request a version rollback from V&V when a release is implicated.

  • Investigate connectivity problems, mapping and annotation issues, tower faults, and mission or deployment failures.

  • Know when to stop. Escalate to L3 or Engineering with a clean, evidenced handover - what you saw, what you tried, what you ruled out.

  • Write and maintain a playbook for every repeat issue you resolve, so the next person does not start from scratch.

  • Train and support L1, Deployment and Service so fewer issues need to reach you; keep the knowledge centre and post-release digest current.

  • Feed recurring problems to Fleet Reliability so they are fixed permanently rather than handled repeatedly.

You'll need

  • A technical degree in engineering, robotics, computer science or similar, or equivalent hands-on experience; robotics exposure welcome but not essential.

  • Linux and command-line confidence; willingness to learn ROS quickly.

  • A structured troubleshooting instinct: form a hypothesis, test it, discard it, move on.

  • Calm under operational pressure - robots fail at inconvenient times and people will be waiting.

  • Clear written communication - the playbook matters as much as the fix.
