Job summary

Job description

  • Work with engineering requirements, work orders, prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, verbal and electronic information to manufacture to quality requirements, parts and assemblies.
  • Fabricate assemblies using computerized numerical controlled (CNC) mediums while simultaneously ensuring product and/or process quality at all levels of the manufacturing operation through monitoring/verification methodologies.
  • Determine and adjust as necessary machine feeds, speeds, and work alignment using shop mathematics, charts and graphs and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to machine proof new and revised part programs.
  • Adjust tool set‑ups and make minor machine adjustments to ensure safe operation of the machine.
  • Adapt tooling and holding fixtures as necessary to orient machine tool cutters and machining fixtures.
  • Ability to check parts for correct dimensions using height gages, gauge blocks, micrometers, calipers, protractors, and other precision tools.
  • Use precision measuring instruments required to accomplish tasks.
  • Utilize tooling in the assembly of components into sub‑assemblies or end items.
  • Verify work performed is per work instructions and meets process and/or engineering specification.
  • Identify discrepancies found per applicable procedure.
  • Ensure equipment and tool certification occurs per procedure.
  • Assist in the training of other assembly personnel in assembly and installation techniques.
