Job Description

The Machine Operator is responsible for performing basic machine operation, working with computer‑controlled equipment or mechanical based machines to make sure they are set up properly, working well and producing quality products.

Responsibilities
  • Basic understanding of motor components and functions (40%)
  • Load/unload/inspect components to Operational Method Sheets (OMS) by use of proper gauging equipment in a safe and efficient manner (30%)
  • Make adjustments as required for change overs (30%)
  • Identify, troubleshoot and correct minor machine time outs (20%)
  • Setup/Operate 1 up/down workstations (20%)
  • Perform monthly PM requirements (10%)
  • Inform team leader about processes or equipment requiring attention (10%)
  • Complete rework and scrap documentation as required or requested (10%)
  • Package service parts (10%)
  • Participate in completion of continuous improvement projects specifically designed to improve processes, productivity and quality, especially those related to corrective actions (10%)
  • Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area (10%)
  • Practice 5S (10%)
