Job summary

Prime Metal Buildings & Components is hiring a Robot Fitter / Operator in Dublin, TX. The role involves facilitating steel structure completion in line with blueprints for robotic welding machines.

The position requires reading drawings, setting up layouts, welding, and maintaining safety standards. The role suits those with welding experience, good teamwork, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Must pass 1G Unlimited weld test.
• Experience in manufacturing/fabrication preferred but not required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Positive attitude and teamwork spirit.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE use.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Lay out and position metal designs for completion.
• Heats, forms, and dresses metal parts with welding equipment.
• Add stiffeners, brackets, face plates using prints for location prior to final weld.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
• Hold required configurations or positions for welding by tack-weld, clamp, or grind.
• Collaborate with robot operators and understand pendant operations.
• Use measuring equipment to verify work.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
