Job summary

FANUC America is seeking a Robotic Field Service Engineer to diagnose and repair FANUC robots and automation systems across the Southeast. The role focuses on customer-facing field service, startups, maintenance, and rapid issue resolution with travel 80%+ and 2-3 overnights weekly.

The ideal candidate will have robotics/automation expertise, strong reading of schematics, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality. A technical background and mobility are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with relevant technical experience or an Associate Degree in a technical field.
Experience or education in Robotics, Automation, Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance or related field.
Mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
Basic understanding of PLCs and industrial controls.
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and ability to rent a vehicle.
Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair FANUC robots and automation systems.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control system issues.
Support robot startups, maintenance activities, and production recovery efforts.
Work directly with customers to solve technical challenges.
Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
Perform onsite service, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Troubleshoot PLC and automation-related issues.
Document service activities and recommendations.
Provide remote technical support when needed.
Travel 80% or more throughout the Southeast region supporting customer facilities with 2-3 overnights per week.

What You Need

FANUC American is seeking a qualified applicant for an Field Service Engineer role. The pay range for this position is $64,740 - $104,924 per year. The pay range listed is based on both salary and other compensation, including bonuses and profit sharing, that an employee may be paid during their employment with FANUC America.
