Job description

We are looking for a Robotic Field Service Engineer to provide onsite repair, troubleshooting, programming, and maintenance services for FANUC robots and associated equipment. This role requires extensive travel within the assigned region and coordination with a service center or remote office for hotline support.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide expert customer service, addressing operational concerns and optimizing machine functionality to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain FANUC robots, controllers, electrical control systems, and peripheral equipment.
• Investigate, diagnose, document, and resolve robotic system issues reported by customers or internal service hotlines.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive daily service reports documenting diagnostics, repairs, maintenance activities, and recommendations.
• Participate in hands‑on technical training and structured classroom instruction to build expertise in robotic systems, servo motors, and automation technology.
• Accurately track, organize, and maintain assigned inventory, ensuring efficient usage and compliance with company standards.
• Ensure proper care, calibration, and upkeep of all company‑provided robotic equipment, tools, and diagnostic instruments.
• Travel 80%–90% of the time within a designated region, including overnight stays as required.

Ideal Candidate

• High School diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in a relevant technical field preferred.
• At least three years of professional experience in robotics, automation, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive throughout the service area.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills, with ability to read and apply schematics.
• Solid understanding of FANUC robots, controllers, and peripheral equipment, including programming and system integration.
• Experience with FANUC application software for programming and troubleshooting preferred.
• Capacity to safely lift and transport up to 75 lbs, using proper ergonomic techniques.
• Willingness to travel within a designated region for extended periods (at least 5 hours) and adapt to varying travel schedules.
