Job summary

Accura Engineering is seeking a Construction Inspector to support oversight on roadway and bridge projects. This role involves reviewing plans, ensuring QA/QC, inspecting roadways and drainage systems, and documenting findings. The position may require night/weekend work and travel between sites.

The candidate should have a Civil Engineering degree with relevant experience or equivalent combinations, plus certifications as needed and a valid US driver's license. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with 2 years of roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with 5 years of roadway/bridge inspection experience.
• High school diploma with 7 years of roadway/bridge inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Inspectors in construction oversight and inspection duties.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Monitor activities for compliance with quality standards and specs.
• Conduct field audits of ICQA processes.
• Inspect roadways, structures, and drainage systems for project conformance.
• Observe materials sampling/testing (soils, aggregate, asphalt, concrete).
• Attend pre-activity meetings with contractors and quality teams.
• Document findings and prepare electronic reports.
• Uphold and promote safety practices on site.
