Job summary

The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking a Highway Technician Associate to support road maintenance, safety, and operations. Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED completed.
• Ability to meet CDL and endorsements requirements within 5 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Patch roadways and repair/maintain signage, guardrails, and drainage structures.
• Operate snow equipment to clear roadways during winter.
• Participate in traffic control for maintenance activities.
• Assist with mowing and vegetation control and litter/debris removal.
• Perform routine maintenance on DOT equipment and vehicles.
