Job summary

MasTec Civil in Orlando, FL is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent in daily field supervision of a large-scale interstate project. You will direct subcontractors, schedule activities, and monitor quality to ensure conformity with contract documents and safety standards.

The role requires earthwork, utility, subgrade, paving experience and a strong background in bridges, walls, and related structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, or 3–5 years’ construction Assistant Superintendent/Foreman experience.
• Experience in earthwork, underground utilities, subgrade/base, paving; strong background in bridges/overpasses, MSE walls, retaining walls, culverts.
• Exposure to project scheduling and document control.
• Strong communication and organization skills, especially with subcontractors and inspectors.
• OSHA certification and knowledge of safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to field construction personnel.
• Supervise day-to-day field activities, ensuring safety and quality.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and inspectors to resolve issues.
• Maintain daily field records and test reports.
• Coordinate safety meetings and project testing records.
• Review subcontractor scope of work and ensure compliance.
