Job summary

MasTec Civil in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead field construction on a highway/bridge project. This role will operate primarily as a night shift, overseeing crews, equipment, and materials to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery with strict safety adherence.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree and at least five years in heavy construction, including bridge/road/DOT work. FDOT knowledge and PMP certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum five years' experience in heavy construction with bridge/road/DOT work.
• FDOT knowledge/experience preferred.
• PMP Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all aspects of bridge construction, repair, and maintenance projects from start to finish.
• Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring proper deployment of manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Review and interpret bridge design plans and blueprints, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards on all projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, inspectors, and project managers for timely project completion.
• Monitor progress against schedules and budgets, addressing issues and delays.
