Job summary

Numericable in Troy, Alabama is hiring a Pavement Marking Machine Operator to apply temporary and permanent roadway markings while adhering to all applicable regulations and safety policies. You will read and interpret striping plans, operate pavement marking equipment, load/unload gear, and assist with lane closures and traffic control devices.

The role requires attention to safety, physical endurance, and flexibility for day or night shifts.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of pavement marking and Traffic Control or related industry experience (i.e. Road Construction, Highway Maintenance, Construction)
• MOT Advanced certification

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret roadway striping plans and specifications
• Operate various types of pavement marking equipment
• Load and unload equipment and materials into and out of company trucks
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time during day or night shifts
• Assist with lane closures and set-up of traffic control devices
• Complete daily paperwork as required by supervisor
• Perform all other duties as assigned
